# Archive a KYB flow

Last updated: 2026-10-05

Archive a KYB flow when you no longer want to use it for new verifications. Existing verifications can continue, and historical cases keep their flow references and configuration.

## Before you begin

* Sign in to the dashboard with permission to update KYB flows.
* Check that you are working in the intended organization and environment.
* If your integration uses this flow for new verifications, switch it to an available, non-archived flow before archiving. Requests that supply an archived flow ID directly are also rejected.

## Archive the flow

1. Open the KYB flows page in the dashboard and find the flow you want to retire. Use **All flows** if it is not in your default list.
2. On the flow card, select the **Archive flow** action.
3. In the **Archive this flow?** confirmation dialog, check the flow name and review the effect on new verifications.
4. Select **Archive flow** to confirm, or **Cancel** to leave the flow unchanged.
5. Wait for the **Flow archived** confirmation. The flow leaves the default list and selectors used to start new verifications.

To find the flow later, select the **Archived** tab (the archived filter) on the KYB flows page.

## What happens to verifications?

| Verification | Effect of archiving |
| --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| New verification | Cannot start with the archived flow, whether selected in the dashboard or supplied directly through the API. Use an available, non-archived flow. |
| Existing verification | Can continue and finish after its flow is archived. |
| Historical case | Keeps its flow reference and configuration. Archiving does not delete the case or its verification records. |

Archiving does not change your data retention policy. Restoration and permanent deletion are not part of flow archiving.

## Troubleshooting

* **Archive action missing:** check your permission to update KYB flows and whether the flow is already under **Archived**.
* **Could not archive flow:** the dashboard has not confirmed a successful archive. Refresh the list to check its current state, then retry if needed.
* **New API verification rejected:** check whether the supplied flow ID is archived and update your integration to use an available, non-archived flow. Retrying the same archived flow ID will not make it available again.
